Limited Lifetime Warranty

Trust is built over time, so for more than 50 years JanSport has engineered packs that are built to last. We stand by the quality and durability of every pack we make, so when your pack does eventually wear out as all things do - you'll know without a doubt that you've gotten the most life you can out of your JanSport and experience.

The products eligible for the limited lifetime warranty are covered to the original owner, for the lifetime of the product. Unfortunately, this does not mean your lifetime. Inevitably, well used (and well loved!) products will eventually wear out – so it may simply be time to replace it.

We will cover your product against defect and malfunction until such a time that it has been used and worn out beyond reasonable repair. If your product covered by this warranty fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair it without charge, or replace it, at our discretion. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or the natural breakdown of colours and materials due to extended time and use.

“Normal wear and tear” means the wear and tear caused by the expected use of the bag over an extended period of time. Damages such as rips, tears, abrasion or UV degradation, accident, misuse or neglect and are not covered under our warranty policy.

The warranty expressed here is specific to the online store at and Authorised JanSport NZ Stockists only, and does not cover product purchased from third party sellers or websites, such as TradeMe, MarketPlace and Ebay.
