How To Clean Your JanSport

Your JanSport bag comes with you wherever you go, so whether that be at work, the beach, school or a picnic it is essential to regularly clean your bag to maintain its quality. Follow these quick and easy steps to get your bag looking good as new ready for your next adventure.

Step 1: Unload

Start off by taking everything out of each and every pocket of your JanSport.

Turn the bag inside out or upside down and shake it over a bin to remove the little bits of dust and debris. Super committed? Use the hose attachment on your vacuum to get at the base and corners.

Step 2: Clean

To maintain the shape and finish of your bag, we recommend staying away from the washing machine.

For most of our bags (like the Big Student and SuperBreak), use cool water with a soft damp cloth to wipe down the interior and exterior of your pack. Never use bleach or harsh detergents on your bag. And remember to avoid any suede or leather trim on your pack (like the Right Pack) as these areas could discolour if they get wet.

Step 3: Air Dry

Again, no laundry machine should be used for your JanSport. So hang your JanSport outside away from direct sunlight to dry completely before putting it into action again.

Adventure On

After following these steps your JanSport will be ready to use again. For ongoing maintenance, we recommend a monthly routine of a quick wipe-down or brushing. With proper care, your JanSport bag will be with you for many adventures.
